2S Scholars took the stage this week to perform their play, Peter Pan. In this version, the Darling children travel to Neverland with their beloved Nana and decide to take the "Lost Kids" home to them where they can have a real family. Maybe growing up won't be so bad after all! And, there is always two sides to a story....Peter Pan did not chop off Hook's hand to be mean. It was all just one big misunderstanding! The actors were very proud to tell the real story of Pan, at least according to them! They collaborated together as a team; painting the set, learning the script and music, and remembering where and how to move on stage. Although nervous for the performance, the students have supported each other throughout the entire process and were excited to stand together on stage. They have much to be proud of, and will always have the memory of their second grade play, Peter Pan. A special thank you to Ms. Weaver, Mr. Smith, Ms. Fine, Ms. Gonzalez, and Mrs. Bates for helping 2S actors prepare. "Second star the the right and straight on 'till morning"!
