2A celebrated Valentin’e Day by performing their play, A Gift Bear for the King. Their performance was outstanding and the audience could feel how much they loved performing on stage. They treated the Primary School to their renditions of That’s What Friends Are For by Dionne Warwick, ABC by the Jackson 5 and Help by the Beatles. They even surprised the crowd at the end with a celebration to My House sung by the Kids Bop crew. A highlight of the play was their circus dance choreographed by Ms. Weaver. Their play was about a bear cub who was sent to the palace as gift for the King. Sadly, the Gift Bear did not get to the palace on time for the king’s birthday. You see, he stopped several times to help people along the way. In the end, the King was so impressed with the Gift Bear’s kindness and perseverance. They all lived together happily ever after. The student’s of 2A were shining stars today. They worked so hard memorizing their lines, learning their music and painting the amazing backdrop. They maintained a positive attitude throughout all of our rehearsals, excited to bring this classic story to life. Bravo 2A! Congratulations!
