Each 2nd grade class traveled to the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City this week to learn how they could better protect animal habitats. Students worked in a lab setting and were invited to touch a live python and box turtle and record their observations. Student scientists also shared their observations of a non-poisonous, blue baby Dart frog which they observed in its enclosure. Students then headed up to the Eat or Be Eaten exhibit where they saw many more live creatures, animal artifacts and interactive displays to teach them more about habitat awareness. Many thanks to all the Liberty Science Center educators and our parent volunteers who joined us on this engaging field trip!
